The Clockwork Dragon, Steampunk Airship Pirate Trilogy Book One

I've named my Steampunk book, The Clockwork Dragon, as you know, and I'm having issues with it. So I've decided to try another draft of it. I'm taking it slow and writing. Just writing with as little editing and adding as possible. Hopefully this works. If not, well, I'll be taking a little break. Writers write, but sometimes we just need a break and breathe. We need to be reinspired and reconnect with our characters.
So, I'll keep you updated,
P.S.: Steampunk Airship Pirate Trilogy is not the official trilogy title. I don't have one yet...

Update on This Reckless & Unreasonable Love

So, I'm done formatting. I had to format the story into one for paperback and one for digital. Now I gotta submit it and have it reviewed before I can put it for sale. *sigh* so hopefully it'll be up for sale soon. I'll keep everyone updated. :)
Time to get back to work!

Publishing Excitement!!

So I have a friend in the indie publishing industry and she's asked me if I want to publish my book with her company! I'm so excited! It'll take a bit longer for This Reckless & Unreasonable Love to be published, but I'm willing to wait. This is so amazing! Thank You God for such a blessing! XD

Steampunk Novel Update

I finally finished my synopsis, I think. I may change it. I'm not sure yet. I may have a name too: The Clockwork Dragon. I think I'm going to make this into a trilogy. :) Without further ado, my synopsis:

Princess Opal yearns for freedom and to pilot airships. She learns all she can about fighting, machines, and weapons from her brother and tutors she’s begged her father for. But she realizes her fighting skills aren’t enough the night of her eighteenth birthday party. During the after party for the VIP guests aboard the airship Diamond’s Dream, she’s attacked in the engine room by drunken princes. To her surprise, she’s rescued by Rebel airship pirates. Her life and morals are changed at that moment as she realizes that the Rebels aren’t always the enemy and you can’t always trust the ones on your side. Sometimes the world is more complicated than you were taught.

The airship pirates of The Clockwork Dragon expect this heist to be the grandest they’ve ever done. Stealing from the King of New Britain’s party was going to set them up for a long while. But when they split up, Captain Jack Larken and the engineer Abraham Killion meet up in the engine room to steal parts for their own ship. They become witness to the attack on Princess Opal.  In a rash decision, Abraham kills one of the men and Jack must back him up. They save the princess and make off with their stolen goods before leaving the airship. The princess is forgotten about, along with the dead princes.

Months later, the pirates’ next pillage is on a cargo airship. Opal has run away and is discovered by Abraham in the cargo hold as a stowaway. Opal tells him her name’s Astrid, an airship engineer that has secretly been trying to escape to join the Rebels for years. They believe her and she joins the Rebel pirates. Working in an airship is a dream come true for Astrid and she doesn’t think twice about the pirating life of the Rebel’s she’s become a part of. But when unavoidable war with New Britain comes looming over the horizon, her happiness won’t keep her afloat for long. She must decide who to help: her new friends that know the real her or return to the family that raised her.

So what say you? Lemme know what you think! :)

Two POVs

For my Steampunk book, I think I'm going to use two different Point Of Views(POVs). One will be my FMC(Female Main Character)'s first person POV and the second will be in one of my MMC(Male Main Character)'s third person POV. I'm not sure which MMC I'll use it. I haven't decided. But I will! :)

In other news, I received my permanent card and will be setting up my copyright for my first book as soon as I receive it back from my beta. I don't think there's much that needs to be done to it. I just wanted someone else to check it for me. I actually have almost all of the copyright stuff done. Thank God.

Off to listen to music and write,

Frustration & Steampunk

I feel like I'm never going to get this copyright! My cards won't work. I think it's because they are temporary cards. I guess I have to wait for the permanent ones. Oh well. Hopefully they'll come soon. In the mean time, I'll work on my next story. It's Steampunk. I don't have a name for it yet, but I think it's going to be a trilogy. :) When I have the synopsis finished, I'll post it on here for all to read! :D

My Introduction

So, I'll tell a little bit about myself. I'm a writer and I'm recently working on publishing my first book: This Reckless & Unreasonable Love. I realize now why none of the other things I wanted to do never worked out. God wanted me to be a writer. It's one of the only things that I've constantly done.

My favorite colors are blue, black, purple, and silver. I love my husband to bits and my Savior even more. I have a part time job at a fast food restaurant. It's not great but it pays the bills. And I have time to work on my stories. I have plenty of ideas too, just not all put together.

I love reading too. I have so many favorite bands and singers that I can't name them all. Lol

Anyway, I'll post the website on here when I get the book stuff finished so others can buy it. Here's a picture of the cover:
I think that's it.
