NaNoWriMo 2013

YAY! It's less than one month to go until NaNoWriMo! I'm so excited! And the new website is up! It looks so nice...:D

This will be my second year participating. I've been working on my NaNo novel this year since the beginning of September because I have so much going on lately and I didn't want to get behind this year. I want to win again!

I've also been wanting to get into blogging more so I was thinking about making a separate blog and leaving this one as a writing and books blog so it's all in one spot. I haven't decided yet.

For the past week or so, I've been outlining and character building an older story. Don't ask me about the Steampunk story cuz it's not going that well. I think I need to back off of it for a while then restart it fresh. It's just not going in the direction I want it to and it's making it very difficult to continue writing it.

Well, I think that's it for now...

Time for an update for my blog!

Ok, so I’m not dead everyone! I’ve just been busy with life and writing and plotting and…the list could go on! Anyway, with so much going on right now, I’ve already begun plotting my NaNoWriMo novel for later this year and I can’t wait! XD I'm so excited! So yeah…back to work!
Just wrote roughly 700 words in about an hour,

The Clockwork Dragon, Steampunk Airship Pirate Trilogy Book One

I've named my Steampunk book, The Clockwork Dragon, as you know, and I'm having issues with it. So I've decided to try another draft of it. I'm taking it slow and writing. Just writing with as little editing and adding as possible. Hopefully this works. If not, well, I'll be taking a little break. Writers write, but sometimes we just need a break and breathe. We need to be reinspired and reconnect with our characters.
So, I'll keep you updated,
Kayley
P.S.: Steampunk Airship Pirate Trilogy is not the official trilogy title. I don't have one yet...
